Power My Shed

Installation

You can install your Power My Shed kit yourself with our included guides, or hire a local handyman for a code-compliant install in one afternoon.

DIY install

Every kit comes with step-by-step instructions. If you’re comfortable with basic tools and following a guide, you can save money and install at your own pace. Wiring is low-voltage DC (under 50V) so you don’t need an electrician for the solar side in many areas—check your local rules. Our hardware list (bolts, tar seals, grommets, etc.) is chosen so you have everything you need in one box.

Professional install

A local handyman can typically complete the install in one afternoon and ensure everything meets local code. That’s especially useful if you want permits, inspections, or just prefer to have it done by someone experienced. Below are handyman services that cover our primary servicing area: Raleigh, Durham, Wake, and Johnston counties.
